Founder, Her Creative Wellness
“The first steps to creating personal wellness should always begin in a place where trust and respect are navigators to peace and light.”
I have experienced deep loss and life challenges in many difficult forms. By the age of 27 I had gone through the unexpected losses of both my husband and son. These two experiences transformed my life forever, and set me on the path to discover the importance of self-care and how to re-envision a healthy, wholehearted way of being. Through the creation of the healing community “Soul Widows,” which I facilitated for over 6 years, I had the honor and privilege of sitting with women who were discovering the meaning of life after loss. These connections have forever impacted me, and I will continue to carry the wisdom from these sacred circles into all of the work that I do. Assisting people with holistic support and bringing encouragement to those hurting has helped shape the path I’m on today. Through my own growth in healing and empowerment, my goal is to share and teach what I have learned with other women who are seeking to feel better, heal deeper, and thrive more dynamically.
My undergraduate degree is in Anthropology and Dance, and I attended graduate school for Community Counseling. In 2013, I became a Certified Creative Grief Coach and published my first book Creative Grieving: A Hip Chick’s Path from Loss to Hope. In 2015, I completed the Spirit Junkie Masterclass Teacher Training Levels 1 and 2 with New York Times bestselling author Gabrielle Bernstein. I am also a Licensed Facilitator of The Desire Map, which guides one to explore their core desired feelings and how to create “goals with soul.” I find joy in creating community for like-minded women seeking health, happiness, and purpose in all areas of their lives. I look forward to bringing my commitment to you and being a part of your ever-unfolding, creative journey.
